ROBERT H. WATERS
With pride, we honour the tradition of the firm by including and continuing the name of ROBERT H. WATERS, a leader in our community and the local legal profession for 42 years. Bob passed away in 2010 but remains as a household name in this region where his contribution to minor sports, municipal politics, his compassion for his clients and his community leadership live on, fondly remembered by many.
Scott joined the firm with over 25 years of experience as a respected voice in court rooms across southwestern and central Ontario. He is an experienced criminal trial lawyer and former Assistant Crown Attorney. Scott also practices in real estate, Wills and estates, estate planning, family law, and civil litigation.
CYNTHIA L. HASTINGS
Cynthia is a lawyer with over 35 years experience serving the legal needs of our community with respect to corporate law, real estate law, family law, wills and estates. Her skills as a negotiator and her professional understanding of real estate challenges and potential pitfalls, contracts, corporate structures and estate planning issues are respected throughout the region’s legal community.

Originally from London, Ontario, Brent is extremely pleased to be joining Elmira’s wonderful community. In his free time, Brent enjoys reading history, camping and visiting museums and galleries.”
Michelle graduated from Conestoga College in 2014 and received her Paralegal License in January of 2015. Michelle has been working in the legal field for over six years, with experience in Labor Relations, Family Law, Civil Litigation, Criminal Law, Provincial Offences and Small Claims Court. Michelle has been with the firm since early 2020 supporting Scott Grainger and our litigation clients.
Legal Assistant - Real Estate
Sue is one of our Real Estate Law Clerks with 45 years of experience. In her free time, Sue likes to enjoy time with family and friends, read, play competitive horseshoes, garden, and act as secretary of the Elmira Kiwanis Music Festival.
Legal Assistant - Wills and Estates
In addition to Cindy Bossenberry’s work at our front desk reception, assisting clients with their appointments and initial inquiries, Cindy has sixteen years of experience as our Estate law clerk facilitating clients with their Wills, Powers of Attorney and Estates. Outside of work, her passions include family, music, travelling, biking, and hiking in the great outdoors.
Legal Assistant - Real Estate
A graduate of Conestoga College, Michelle joined our renowned real estate department in 2019 as a deals clerk and has demonstrated that she is more than up to the task. A long-time resident of the area and a sports enthusiast, Michelle is on top of her game at the office too, friendly, client focused, solution minded and ready to serve!
Kaitlyn is one of three who work jointly in the accounting department. She joined the firm over 5 years ago as a high school student and has since completed a diploma in accounting. She will eagerly assist you with any of your accounting inquiries. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities with friends & family.
Kenzie is a University of Waterloo student who has been with the firm since July 2019. She worked alongside Kaitlyn in bookkeeping during her gap year and now has stepped into the role of bookkeeper. Kenzie also has experience in corporate minutes and is currently working part time while she completes her schooling for Social Development Studies.
Evan is an accounting student at the University of Guelph. He joined us in June 2020 to cover the maternity leave of our bookkeeper Kaitlyn. Evan has experience doing accounting in the Environmental field and has experience in banking as well. He is currently working towards his CPA designation.
